The Familia Chichipan are award-winning ceramicists based in Tzintzuntzan, Michoacán. Led by Natalio and Carmen in their home studio in the lakeside town along Lake Pátzcuaro, known for its longstanding Purépecha ceramic traditions. Working across generations, the family transforms local clay into handmade pottery inspired by the natural beauty and daily life of their community—fish, birds, and water. Their process honors slow, traditional craftsmanship, with each piece shaped and finished by hand in small batches.
