$17.00

WHY WE LOVE IT
This cooking spoon showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of Paracho, Michoacán. A region renowned for its woodworking tradition. Hand-carved from sustainably-harvested Mexican Rosewood, the spoon features a deep, smoothly curved bowl and a gracefully elongated handle with subtle grain patterns that highlight the rosewood's natural beauty.

The dense hardwood construction provides exceptional durability while remaining gentle on all cookware surfaces. The natural heat resistance and smooth texture make this wooden spoon safe for high-temperature cooking, while the ergonomic design ensures comfortable handling. Unlike metal utensils that scratch and damage, this premium wood spoon protects your non-stick pans, cast iron skillets, and expensive cookware investments.

Perfect for stirring and serving, this sustainable kitchen utensil makes an excellent gift for home chefs who appreciate quality craftsmanship and eco-friendly cooking tools.

Gerardo Valencia Hernández has masterfully preserved traditional wood lathe techniques for over three decades in Paracho, Michoacán, while building a global presence for his exquisite handcrafted goods. His dedication to sustainable practices emphasizes quality over quantity, protecting the forests that provide his primary material. Working primarily with granadillo wood, prized for its remarkable texture, Valencia Hernández creates functional art pieces, including kitchen utensils and components for elegant table settings.

Before first use, lightly coat with food-grade mineral oil to condition the wood. After use, hand wash promptly with warm water and mild soap, avoiding prolonged soaking. Air dry completely before storing.
