Rewi is the son of the founders of Telares Uruapan, a family-run weaving workshop in Uruapan, Michoacán, that has been producing beautiful, colorful textiles on traditional looms since the 1950s.
His parents built Telares Uruapan on a deep respect for craftsmanship and community, preserving the art of the pedal loom while supporting generations of local artisans. Today, Rewi continues their legacy by overseeing the workshop, sourcing the highest-quality cotton, and ensuring every textile reflects the same care and dedication that began with his parents more than seventy years ago.
Each piece from Telares Uruapan carries a story of family, tradition, and the enduring beauty of Mexican artistry.
