We are so glad you’ve found us and are on your way to reducing your plastic footprint. Buying your home, personal care, and cleaning products in refill pouches is the way of the future. But there are a few things to know about the art of refilling before you get started.

Your home refill containers must be properly clean and dry to prevent contamination and spoilage. A well-cleaned container should be completely dry and contain no residue product or dust. Properly sanitized bottles and containers ensure your products stay fresh as long as possible.

We recommend using glass containers since they are the easiest to sanitize.

Sanitizing your glass container

  • Wash the container with warm soapy water, making sure to remove all old product residue.
  • Sanitize by placing it in boiling water for 5 minutes.
  • Dry thoroughly before filling with any new product.

Sanitizing your plastic container

If you use a plastic home refill container, know that some plastics can be challenging to sanitize.  We recommend using #5 plastics (polypropylene) since they are sturdy and can be cleaned at high temperatures.

  • Remove all product residue with soap and hot water.
  • Sanitize bottles, spray nozzles, and lids with a diluted solution of alcohol with a ratio of 70% water to 30% alcohol.
  • Dry thoroughly before filling with any new product.

Please keep in mind that it is your responsibility to ensure the refill containers you use at home are clean and sanitized.
